Hi.

This was supposed to be finished up in time for Halloween, but that COVID LYFE got in the way a bit, so now it’s an Election Day Fever Dream Waking Nightmare Hellscape Soundtrack! We’re all gonna die!

Anyway. This EP was entirely Denny’s brainchild, a loose and improvised lil’ collection of pieces wherein we worked with only the stringed instruments we own. This yielded some uncharacteristically off-the-cuff and playful results! Maybe you’ll dig it! If not, then hey, go listen to like Hatebreed or something, I dunno.

Our friends Marshall Sanchez, Ben Abney, and Jack Vaughn were helping to remodel our bathroom during these evening sessions, so inevitably some of their many machine whirrs and growls wove their way into the fabric of the mixes. I figured I’d mention it! Denny, myself - Guitar, Bass, Banjo, Mandolin, Lap Steel, Tenor Guitar, Baritone Guitar, Noiseboard (s/o to Wayne Todd), Marxophone, Yerbonitsa, Ciftelia, Digital Guitar, Piano, Dulcimer, Erhu, Violin, Field Recordings. Denny produced, with me assisting. I mixed. Recorded at Ghost Salon, of course, in Hickory Withe, Tennessee, over the past couple of weeks. We wrote everything herein. I shot the cover photograph at Polk Cemetery in Bolivar, Tennessee on Halloween.

Oh!
